To increase access to renewable electricity, the City of Cambridge is launching a new program that enables Covered Property Owners to directly purchase BEUDO-compliant Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from the City.
RECs are expected to be a key way that many BEUDO properties meet their Emission Reduction Requirements for 2026 and beyond.
Through this program, an Owner can enter into an agreement with the City for a quantity of RECs, and the City will retire them on behalf of the Owner and provide a certificate for you.
