Decarbonizing our built environment also includes rethinking the way we demolish or purchase materials for our projects. Rather than destroying and sending material to landfills, some items can live on a healthy second life on other projects. Much like vintage markets offer secondhand clothing that avoids the trash, circular economies for building materials are emerging and need our support. Join us to discuss the process of deconstruction and how we can all become players in these emerging markets through both providing and purchasing secondhand.
